DockPlus
DockPlus replaces the macOS Dock with one I draw myself, in Liquid Glass. It has window previews, stacks, badges, and widgets for music, weather, the calendar and battery. The system Dock keeps running out of sight, because macOS also uses it for the app switcher, Mission Control and Spaces.

What it does
- Pinned, running and recent apps, with drag to reorder, pin and remove
- Window previews that switch to a window on any Desktop or display
- Widgets for now playing, weather, a clock, the next calendar event and battery
- Stacks for folders like Downloads, shown as a menu or a grid
- Magnification, auto-hide and a dock on every display
- VoiceOver labels on every icon, window and widget
How it's built
Working beside the system Dock
Quitting the macOS Dock would take the app switcher, Mission Control and Spaces down with it, because the same process draws them. DockPlus leaves it running and hidden, and draws its own bar in a separate panel.
Everything on the main thread
The panel, the workspace notifications and the pointer timer all run on the main thread, so building in Swift 6 language mode costs nothing. What it does catch is the one mistake that would matter here, which is a drag-and-drop callback updating the dock from whatever thread macOS happened to deliver it on.
Privacy
There's no telemetry and no account. The weather widget is off by default, and when it's on, the only thing sent is the city you type, to Open-Meteo. Calendar events are read on the Mac and never leave it.
